eo Mic

Could anybody tell me how I can make the mic works in the eo? I have tested two headsets and I have not been able to make neither one to work. I have seen other complaining about the same situation but until today I did have time to test it.

  1. The ear-phones and the micro use the same catch

  2. Frank, what have you decided to do about your eo? Are you going to keep it/ swap it out (if it's offered) for the newer device from Amtek/ return it altogether??
BTW - just wanted you to know - all your efforts re battery life are greatly appreciated.

  3. I still have not decided yet what to do. It seem to me that probably they will have to do a recall. I'm just waiting to see if they come on with a fix or something.

    Is your MIC working netlola?

  4. I have not actually tried it yet; at the moment I am more worried about the battery AND my fluctuating/low WIFI strength.....:(

Ihope they resolve this soon, because I sure do love my little eo, but feel it's handicapped by this problem.

  5. I really do not use the MIC at all in any of my laptops or PCs but I'm a little concern about this issue because I have seen other with the same problem.

Yeah, 1:25 hours of battery is just a joke. You really do not have any mobility. About the WiFi, lucky me. I do not have too much problem in that field. My router was around 30 feet from me and my WiFi signal was good. Now I had to move the router to my same room because I was doing some repairs in the room where I had it before so now I have it just at 2 feet from me.

Is your WiFi signal that week? Sometimes that's just driver problem.

  6. My WIFI signal at home seems OK, but its strength does fluctuate a lot. The problem is at other locations(oublic). I often cannot connect at all, where other people have no problem whatsoever.

  7. Oh - wanted to say as well that I never needed to use a mic on my other computers, so this is not really an issue for me.

  8. I'm at work now and I have 6 access points around me. Of those I can see only 3. The 3 that I can't see are around 100 ~ 150 feet from me. I can connect with a signal streght of around 70% to one around 50 feet from me.

I think that the WiFi is not very powerful in this device but I just turn it on my Dell Axim and I have the same reading. Only can see 3 AP.

  9. The problem I have is that mine fluctuates. It will start out showing "very good" in the signal strength, then it will go to "low"; then it might go to no signal whatsoever...

  10. do you have your power saving disabled?

  11. I only have this problem when I enable the Power Saving in the WiFi Card.

  12. It happens either way, with power save enabled or not. I only did the power save a couple of days ago; the problem started long before then. But now I will pay more attention when I swap settings to determine which gives me better performance. You say that with Power Save off, you get a stronger signal?
