Arstechnica.com has published a long article explaining some of the changes that are going to be included in Vista SP1 which should be released at the end of this year. One of the changes comes as result of the Antitrust battle between Google and Microsoft and it's about the Search Capability included in the Start Menu of Google.
According to Microsoft's filing with the DOJ, the company "will create a mechanism for end users and OEMs to select a default program to handle desktop search." OEMs will be able to register their desktop search products for this default.
