eo Owner, what you would ask Amtek for?

If you own an eo V7110 and you have the opportunity to meet Amtek, what you would ask for?

I would ask for:

  1. A commitment to create drivers for Vista
  2. c3 State Support
  3. Better Video drivers with screen rotation support
  4. A better Brightness configuration program or tool that could allow owner to set whatever brightness level they like while running on battery or AC power.
  5. Screen calibration in Log On screen

What you would ask for?

  1. In regards to logon screen calibration, you can achieve this if you want by going into regedit.

Just copy the values from HKCU\Control Panel\TabletPC\PenTiltData to HKU\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\TabletPC\PenTiltData.

This effectively copies your calibration profile to the "default" user which is the one used at logon.

By the way I was going to leave this comment at UMPC Buzz but it appears anonymous comments are turned off.

  3. Franch but very serious humour : I want a brightness at 50 % with battery...

    That is normal, no ?

There is a very big problem with brightness configuration, but only because AMtek EO is BAD !

When the ASUS R2H on franch shops, I will not a EO Owner.

  4. Afflicted for bad English, but I maintenances what I wrote and which.

I repeat : there is a very big problem with brightness configuration, but only because AMtek EO is BAD !

Here why AMtek did not envisage could allow owner to set whatever brightness level they like while running on battery or AC power... It is very simply.

Tne ASUS will be my next Origami.

Bye bye EO et AMtek !

  8. Jeff, I have to disagree with you. So far I'm happy with my eo and I have not found anything that good to make me jump and sell my to on ebay to buy the other one.

  9. Sorry...

    My good post is :

"To be constructive and positive, I want ask why the very good VIA PowerSaver is not in EO...

    WHY ???

  10. We speak as friends to be constructive.

For my part, I fell into the trap from AMtek simply because Samsung Q1 does not have a mouse.

he différece of price in France is very weak : 130 USD.

  11. Seems to me that they are not very good insoftware /drivers . In another hand to program for VIA is not that easy due to the lack of information.

  12. That's a shame. It works on active digitizers. I don't really know what resistive touch digitizers do for calibration then. I figured it'd be the same thing.

  14. I have a question on the EO hardware : the AMtek 700 sold in France have a hard disk with two partitions.

    - Is the same for the machines sold in the United States ?

    - Why utility ?

  15. Our machines came with two partitions too. The use of a second partition to keep the files needed to restore the system is very common. you can find here in this blog how I resized this partition.
