PowerFolder is a Secure, Peer-to-Peer File Transfer Tool. Easily share, backup, and access files over the Internet or in LAN.

Did I say that it's a freeware?

For more information on this tool and the download link check this page.

  1. One problem with it is a problem that all Java apps implemented via Swing have (i.e. aren't implemented using native AWT or SWT widgets). They text fields are not real. Windows text fields and so Windows does not know to make the floating TIP available when they receive focus. That's fine for those with keyboards attached, but it makes use with touchscreen input cumbersome.

  2. Yeap, I found that after I installed. Also, it's not user friendly. I had very hard time trying to find how to sync a folder from my PC with a folder in my LAN.

  3. ok so where was the problem, install on both computers create a folder on one of them and send invitation to the other one and open it:
thats it! but of course its not optimized for touchscreen. but perhaps we can ask the developersto change that :)

  6. ah ok sorry i thought that folder in your lan means on some pc in your home network. i can imagine that this was not easy. you have only remote access on your NAS? didnt want to offend you.i hope you did felt like that

  7. No, You did not do anything wrong. I'm using AlwaysSync. I was just curious about this one.
