What is going on with FlipStart?

Today Engadget has pointed to the fact that Flipstart own web store is redirecting buying to resellers because the have sold out all their inventory.

Look, we're not saying that FlipStart is on the way out, but when your "store" page tells people that the stock of your device has been "sold out" and then directs them to a third-party retailer for accessories, things might not be looking so good.

A few weeks ago this company cut down the price of these devices in about 50% and now this. To me the message is clear, we are not going to see any more FlipStart 1.0. But what about FlipStart v2.0?

FlipStart gets $500 price reduction

The FlipStart is not exactly what is called by many a UMPC because it does not have a touch screen but one thing is for sure it's one of the smallest PC in the World and now after these 500 dollars price reduction I'm sure that many users will add this little machine into their Christmas list for this year.

FlipStart has announced that effective immediately, the 30GB handtop with the 1.1GHz Pentium M ULV processor and 5.6-inch display will be available for $1,499.
